Routes to Suit - Whatever your age or level of fitness Rik’s Bike Shed will find you a route to suit! You’ll find many of our routes here very family friendly (we know kids hate hills!) and are perfect if you’re pedalling with a baby seat or towing a trailer or tag-a-long. Drumlanrig has eight way-marked routes graded green for easy, then blue, to technically challenging red and black. They all have superb viewpoints, giving you the chance to catch your breath and appreciate your surroundings.
Something Different - For the keen mountain biker, Drumlanrig trails offer a unique experience. Different from many others, the trails here have a very natural, organic feel to them, so if you fancy sampling some ‘old skool’, woodsy, rooty singletrack then Rik’s Bike Shed will point you in the right direction!
Rik also offers expert advice, guided rides with transport to/from accommodation in the area, and coaching. There is also a well-stocked shop and workshop and Cycle Museum chronicling the history of the bicycle beginning with a replica of Kirkpatrick Macmillan's original cycle, conceived here in this area, the home of the bicycle. Read more on Rik's Services.
Showers are available on-site for those who wish to use them.
