Drumlanrig Christmas Fair - soak up the magic!

3 pm - 7 pm, concluding with a Lantern Parade and Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6.45 pm, led by the Buccleuch & Queensberry Pipebank
Sunday 9 December 2012
11 am - 5 pm, followed at 5 pm by Carols in the Castle (see separate event)
Entry Adults £2, Children under 14 free
Once again, the Drumlanrig Stableyard will provide a charming seasonal setting to find those special Christmas gifts and delicious festive fayre!

With up to 50 selected craft and food stands, along with ‘Reinbeer’ mulled spiced ale and chestnuts from Sulwath Brewery, you can be assured of a special weekend for all the family.
- Children’s Entertainers including Fire-Juggling and Jason the Jester
- Lantern Making and Christmas Crafts in the Activity Room
- Carol Singers
- Festive Fayre including Hog Roast and Burgers
- Scrumptious Seasonal Menu in the Snack Bar – winter soups, mince pies, hot chocolate with marshmallows, etc
- Visit Father Christmas in his Magical Grotto

Schools Art Competition
All primary school children will be invited to submit their Festive art piece prior to the 8th. The lucky winner will be invited to turn on our Castle Christmas tree lights!
On Saturday 8 December, the Fair will conclude at 7 pm with a Lantern Parade and Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, commencing at 6.45 pm.
On Sunday 9 December, the finale to this seasonal weekend will be Carols in the Castle at 5 pm – a magical evening enjoying the Dalgarno Choir with mulled wine and mince pies.
Tickets for Carols in the Castle are £10 and booking is essential
