The Working Estate
Drumlanrig Castle is set on the spectacular 90,000 acre Queensberry Estate in the heart of Dumfriesshire. With the enchanting Castle and rambling Country Park as dramatic backdrop, the Estate enjoys an excellent reputation for the high quality of its Country Sports, particularly fishing and renowned field sports. In addition to grouse, pheasant, partridge and rough shooting, the Estate at Drumlanrig Castle also boasts a beautiful setting for outdoor recreation such as walking and wildlife appreciation.
Considered land management over the centuries coupled with the fantastic natural resources have helped the Estate retain its diverse and prolific wildlife, native woodlands, wild flowers and fauna. The cold, clear waters from the Lowther Hills also ensures the River Nith remains among the best salmon and sea trout beats in Scotland, while the carefully managed agricultural landscape produces some of the finest meats in the country.
The Estate has several unfurnished properties to let which have been refurbished and updated to a high standard when required. We have a variety of properties in differing locations, usually something to suit everyone. We also have occasional properties for sale and Farm lets.
