Considered land management over the centuries coupled with the fantastic natural resources have helped the Estate retain its diverse and prolific wildlife, native woodlands, wild flowers and fauna. The cold, clear waters from the Lowther Hills also ensures the River Nith remains among the best salmon and sea trout beats in Scotland, while the carefully managed agricultural landscape produces some of the finest meats in the country.
Award winning Buccleuch Heritage Foods specialise in slowly reared heritage meats from traditional breed beef, sheep and pigs, with top chefs in restaurants up and down the country serving Buccleuch beef.
The Estate has several unfurnished properties to let most of which have been refurbished and updated to a high standard. We have a variety of properties in differing locations, usually something to suit everyone.
