Hidden Heritage

Throughout the years, various buildings were erected for specific purposes on the Estate. As time elapsed, some of these buildings became redundant but remain a testament to a bygone age. Come and discover this hidden heritage, including the turbine house, the cascade, heather houses and Ha Ha ditch etc, in and around the Garden and Woodland areas of Drumlanrig Castle. Uncover the reasons for building these and the purpose they served in their time.

Meet at Drumlanrig Castle Visitor Centre at 2 pm.
Cost Country Estate Admission charges apply (Adult £5, Child £3.50).
This includes entry to the Country Estate, Gardens and Adventure Playground. (Adult concessions may be available)
Dogs are allowed under close control
